Desert Plants

Desert plants, make up some of the most unusual plant form on the planet and cacti, depending on variety, can sport blossoms that are quite intense in color.

These succulent plants usually have deep roots with small ciliated wax coated gray, silver, and or light green leaves.

Plants in the desert or Sonoran Desert species in particular populate their native environment with close to five hundred species. The Sonoran sports more plants than any other desert in the world and we will point out some of the more interesting varieties.

Desert Rose plants, once viewed become a favorite of many collectors. The name, however, is misleading but the flowers are outstanding.

Sonoran Desert Plants

Please note that cacti plants prefer a dry and alkaline fast draining soil low in organic matter.
