Blue perennial flowers have been in demand for as long as I can remember. I would venture a guess that they are second only to red flowering varieties.
Sometimes as landscape designers we tend to concentrate on the use of one color too much.
This is indeed a mistake as one should use a palette of flower colors just as the artist uses a full selection of paints to complete his work of art.
At one time I was employed by a designer that always used white flowers in his projects from the front yard and throughout the back.
How boring was his concept with absolutely zero surprises from one area to another.
I am not saying that a garden theme featuring just one color should not be developed but rather what I am indicating is that one color and one color only should not be the only visual treat in an entire landscape.
