Arkansas Wildflower

Last summer we spent our vacation in Rock-A-Way Beach, Missouri then we traveled on to one of our favorite places which is Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

From Eureka Springs we decided to visit the War Eagle Mill now I’m not trying to bore you with our vacation itinerary but rather setting the stage for the part of the country that we were in.

Cleome serrulata - Spider Plant

What we noticed between Eureka Springs and War Eagle were the roadsides were absolutely ablaze with the colorful blooms of Arkansas wildflowers.

Someone or a group of individuals had done a fantastic job of picking out what appeared to be seven or eight varieties of outstanding wild flowers.

Being from eastern Oklahoma where the state fails to add restrooms to the rest stops let alone to beautify our highways with the color of wild flowers.

To say the least we were very impressed with Arkansas.
